Mixing and Detection of 10µm Infrared Laser Radiation by the First Nanometer Thin-Film Ni-NiO-Ni Diodes with Integrated Antennas

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Thin-film Ni-NiO-Ni diodes with a contact area of (110nm)2 are integrated with 110nm to 5µm dipole, bow-tie and spiral antennas which couple to 30THz (≈10µm) CO2-laser radiation and permit detection and mixing at difference frequencies over75MHz.
