Quantification of Cells in Native Tissues with Object Detection and Weak Supervision

Abstract

Most image quantification tasks in microscopy can be re-formulated as object detection problems, which has advantages over segmentation. In this research, we demonstrate the effectiveness of object detectors using Faster R-CNN and a semi-supervised quantification algorithm.
