900 MHz fundamental repetition rate femtosecond Er:fiber laser mode locked by nonlinear polarization evolution

Abstract

We demonstrate a femtosecond erbium-doped fiber laser operated at 895 MHz fundamental repetition rate by nonlinear polarization evolution (NPE). The laser delivers 150 mW of average output power and 79.5 fs pulse duration directly.
