Abstract

A six-channel multimode integrated optical I/O supporting two orthogonal polarizations of LP01, LP11a, and LP11b modes in a few-mode fiber was experimentally demonstrated, showing chip-to-fiber coupling efficiencies > –6.1dB for future Tbps-per-wavelength optical interconnects.
